As we move into the final third of the year and wrap up our 5th Birthday celebrations, we caught up with Evenly Founder Kate and asked, “What’s been happening at Evenly HQ so far in 2025?”

Drew loves Evenly bra inserts!

The first thing we MUST celebrate is the appearance of our balancing bra inserts on the DREW BARRYMORE SHOW in March. During a section on how to fit a bra correctly with the amazing Kimmay Caldwell, our inserts were featured to achieve the optimal fit on the two bra fit volunteers - one who had natural asymmetries and the other who experienced asymmetry as a result of breast cancer treatment. They were also loved and worn by US TV veteran and Drew’s co-host Valerie Bertinelli who had been using an old shoulder pad up until then to balance her bra!

It was truly a “pinch me” moment to see our products in the hands of one of our favourite celebrities on US TV and it was wonderful to see that Drew was so enthusiastic and supportive of our brand and products, calling them "really beautiful" - eek!

USA Tariff Turmoil

Speaking of the US, since the president introduced new and unprecedented tariffs on Chinese-made products, Kate took the difficult decision to temporarily pause orders from our UK website for our customers in the United States. As import duties and charges are out of Evenly’s control, Kate didn’t want to risk our American customers ordering from the UK and receiving an unexpected high bill on top of their Evenly order.

When asked why orders were paused, Kate explained “It’s been very frustrating because we use two incredible factories to produce our Evenly products. They are both world specialists in silicone inserts, and we are fortunate to be able to work with them to create such high quality and affordable products. The fact that these factories are located in China is the only reason our products were liable for such high tariffs.”

Thankfully, we’ve since been able to re-open orders to the US, and our US and Canadian stockists have continued to keep our customers well looked after during the short pause. Legislation is changing all of the time, so be sure to follow us on social media for any new annoucements that could affect orders to the USA.

Awards season continues…

Founder Kate and Evenly are no stranger to an award win after scooping the Innovate UK Women in Innovation Award in 2021. We’ve now received exciting news that Kate has been shortlisted for the ‘Innovation Entrepreneur of the Year’ by the Great British Entrepreneur Awards for the South West. Kate is excited to be nominated and gave a shoutout to our Buy Women Built pals at NIXI Body who are also nominated for an award.

Evenly has also been featured by Theo Paphitis in his Small Business Sunday Awards, which is particularly exciting as Theo is the owner of high street brand Boux Avenue and will know the importance of proper bra fit and support!

Nipple covers are here!

ree

2025 has seen new product launches with the much anticipated nipple covers launching just before the Summer season - perfect timing as they work great under sheer Summer tops and also when swimming. Whether you wear them as a pair, or just on the side not covered by one of our Bra Balancers or Subtle Shapers, these adhesive-free wonders provide subtle, natural coverage where needed. What accessories or additions to our range would you like to see next? We always love to hear your thoughts and feedback and you can share them with us here.

What’s next for Evenly?

ree

Kate’s been thrilled with the progress and success of Evenly which has grown since its launch in 2020, becoming profitable from its first year. “I have purposefully kept progress slow and steady whilst my daughter is young. [Kate’s daughter was born the year after Evenly launched] Self-funding Evenly has allowed me to focus on juggling mum life whilst being an entrepreneur and reinvesting profits rather than answering to investors. It has allowed me to focus solely on my customers and the community we have built together at a pace that suits me and my family.”

As we celebrate Evenly’s 5th Birthday, we plan on launching a brand new e-commerce website to deliver an even better shopping experience for our customers. We’re also looking into a US-facing website and local fulfilment to improve the service to our friends across the USA and to prevent the type of disruptions we've had to contend with this year.

Is Evenly still inventing products?

YES! Evenly was awarded a UK patent for an asymmetry-balancing bra design, and now with 5 years experience and research, this will be pivoting into innovation of an adjustable bra insert. We will always be an innovative company to create more solutions for a group that has been under-represented for far too long.

We’re always working towards being more inclusive and sustainable, and R&D is ongoing to find tooling and manufacturing improvements, with profits constantly being reinvested. If you’ve ever purchased a product from us, you’re funding development into more breast asymmetry solutions.

Have you discovered Evenly this year?

We’d love to know how our products have helped you navigate asymmetry. You can also join our free support community The Uneven Titty Committee and follow us on Instagram @wearevenly for support and practical advice from people who truly understand.
